National Parks? The best gift our 26th President Theodore Roosevelt ever gave to us, minus the Man in the Arena speech. Take advantage, please. Do it for us. Reservations may be required for entrance. The website outlines it all.
Buy your tickets online. Catch a discount before 9:30AM. Check out the view, along with the cafe and gift shop at the top. There's an optional one mile hike at the top for an even better view.
Just for kids? Absolutely not. This is a blast for "grown ups" too. Check out the website for hours. 10/10 rating from Jess.
Have you seen The Shining? Dumb and Dumber? You're in luck. Check out a tour in the daytime to learn some history, or grab a tour a night for a paranormal experience.
Looking to do something crazy? Sky dive! Check out the FAQs, pricing, and requirements for a tandem jump on the website. If you're unsure, both Jess and Shy will passionately tell you it's a great idea. We'll even do it with you if you give us a heads up.
Looking for a more structured approach to nature? Book a Green Jeep Tour, and check out the mountains with a local pro.
Check out downtown Estes Park for a number of cute shops, bars, and food joints. If you're lucky, you'll catch some wild elk waltzing through. Check this blog post for local favorites.
This will be the coolest (and weirdest) museum you'll find. If you're going to do anything in Denver, this should be it. The museum is kid friendly, but, for adults who indulge in Colorado-esque extra curriculars, Jess does discourage sobriety for maximum enjoyment.
If you're looking to get out of Estes Park for a day, check out Pearl Street in Boulder. It's equal parts crunchy and fun. There are some easy hikes nearby, too.
